Appointments FAQ

Do I need to come to a shop to get my RV windshield replaced?

It depends on what kind of windshield your RV has and what RVWindshieldReplacement.com partner shops are available in your area.

If you have a gasket-set windshield in an area where we have mobile service available, then these can often be replaced on-site at your location.

If you have a glue-in windshield, it's normally best to do these in-shop.

In addition to your windshield type, not all mobile technicians have the equipment or ability to safely transport large RV windshields, so that can also impact whether or not you need to come in to a shop for your service.

How long will I have to wait after my windshield is installed to be able to drive?

The safe-drive-away-time for your new windshield will vary from several hours to 24 hours.

The exact time is determined by what kind of windshield you have and how long it takes the adhesive sealant to cure.

The installation shop or tech can let you know in advance what the timeframe will be so you can plan out your schedule accordingly.

How long does the windshield replacement process take?

A full windshield replacement on a Class RV generally takes about 1-2 days to properly complete from start to finish. Some installs are easier than others, so not all will take this long.

When you schedule your service, the partner shop can give you an estimate for total time involved.
